What functions do molecules have? Look at your earlier list of jobs to be done. In the miniature world of molecules, could molecules perform that function? What about:

Communication?
Sensing?
Moving?Molecules, in fact, do all of these things.
Basic "structural ideas", like gears or pumps or hinges, that work at the larger levels (e.g. in playgrounds, factories, the human body) also work at the molecular level.
