Everything on the Earth is made from atoms.
About 100 different atoms are used to make all things on the Earth.
We have reasons to believe that all things in the Universe are also made from the same 100 atoms.
On the level of atoms, there is no difference between living and nonliving things, and between one living being and another. At this stage they are indistinquishable.
Every atom has a positive charge concentrated in its center, called a nucleus.
Every atom also has a negative charge that is distributed around the center.
Atoms combine into molecules. Most atoms are unstable under normal conditions and tend to group with each other, creating molecules.
